Dredged Soil Texture
Dredging mud, clay, fine silty sand, medium fine
sand, coarse sand ,gravel and pebble:
Clay: Ip>17 Fine silty sand: d50%=0.0lmrn, density
(volume-weight)= 1.86 t/m3
Medium fine sand: d10%=0.31mm, d50%=0.23mrn,
d90%=0.16mrn, without mud
density (volume-weight)= 1.95 t/m3 (the sand pores are
filled with water) Coarse sand: d50%=0.50mrn
Grave land pebble: d50%=20mm
Loading
1 The dredged soil texture is medium fine sand: the calculated effective loading time is about 90 minutes when the two drag heads dredge down to 20m.This loading time is calculated on the basis that both the two inboard dredge pumps are put into use, the average density of the soil into the hopper is 1,300kg/m3, and the average overflow ratio is 8%
2 The dredged soil texture is medium fine sand: the calculated effective loading time is about 70 minutes when the two drag heads dredge down to 40m.This loading time is calculated on the basis that both the two under water pumps are put into use, the average density of the soil into the hopper is 1,320kg/m3, and the average overflow ratio is 8%.
3 The dredged soil texture is medium fine sand: the calculated effective loading time is about 90 minutes when the two drag heads dredge down to 40m.This loading time is calculated on the basis that both the two under water pumps are put into use, the average density of the soil into the hopper is 1,270kg/m3, and the average overflow ratio is 8%.
4 The dredged soil texture is medium fine sand: the calculated effective loading time is about 140 minutes when the single drag head dredge down to 115m.This loading time is calculated on the basis that single dredge head, the starboard under water pumps are put into use, the average density of the soil into the hopper is 1,270kg/m3, and the average overflow ratio is 8%.
Pumping ashore
When discharging above described mixture through a pipeline of 4000 m length (not including discharge line on board) by both inboard pumps working in series, the unloading time for 26000 m3 of sand is calculated at approx. 14 7 minutes.
This time is based on a discharge pipeline diameter of 1000 mm, a geodetic height of 6 m, and the ashore density is 1350 kg/m3. In this case the power for the inboard dredge pumps can reach to 5800 kW each.
When both inboard pumps working in series, the ashore distance can reach to 5000m.
ADA WOG
Vessel No. 1 is designated for conventional propulsion, while Vessels No. 2 and 3 are equipped with diesel-electric propulsion.
This is contingent upon receiving final government approval for export.
The first unit is complete, with the second and third units under construction.
