Description
A steel boat about 38 meters in length was previously used as a seismic vessel and side trawler. It once housed 14 crew members, i.e.
The captain’s courters, seven men bunker for the officials and six men bunker for the rest of the crew. A four-person bunker was later installed, which increased the current number from 14 to 18 crew members.

Scope of Work – Completed 2019
• Shelter deck with railings covering half of one side of the vessel.
• Fishing completely re-insulated with marine ply and fibreglass-coated marine plywood. (size about 700 x 8.5 x 4m)
• Old mast pole was removed and replaced with a smaller mast, and the mast pole
• New 4 men’s bunker
• Electrical system converted from old fuse system to circuit breaker system
• Complete Electrical system refurbished to comply with SAMSA standards
• Main deck area removed and replaced with brand new checked steel plates
• New blast freezer with two blowers fully insulated with hangers for bait and extra storage.
• Old auxiliary engines and alternators were replaced with modern Laval engines and alternators.
• Exhaust system was renovated and added, complying with SAMSA standards
• All fresh water pipes and valves in the engine room replaced
• Safety survey was done in 2018 and passed by SAMSA rules
• Water tanks in the engine room cleaned and covered with cement slush
• Stern water tank cleaned, water blasted and painted with special water guard paint and primer
• Alarm system checked and repaired where necessary
• All valves checked, repaired or replaced accordingly
• Boat painted using the 7-step repair and paint process
• All lights replaced with new water-resistant fluorescent systems.
• Satellite phone installed
• New computer and navigational software
• Air conditioners replaced with new ones (galley, Aft accommodation & bridge)
• Crane fitted with brand new control valve

The crane cable will have to be replaced Large industrial fridge for the galley.
Magnetic compass to be replaced

Old air cons are to be replaced in FRWD accommodation.
